Lent Day 14 Ruth 2:19-3:15 Kinsmen Redeemer

Join your host Susan Downie as she explores the subject of Kinsman Redeemer, looking at the life of Ruth Naomi and Boaz. She encourages the listener to look through Boaz to Christ as our redeemer. 
She invites us all to take stock of our need for redemption, and exploring the psychological tool called the Johari Window , she explains our innate need to accept we  all have blind spots and unknown parts only visible and known to God.

Lent day 13 Ruth 2:14-23 Paying it Forward

Join Susan Downie as she revisits the verses of yesterday in Ruth, where she explores topics of satisfaction in the Lord and paying  it forward. 
Alongside the commentary by Tony Merida from his book, Ruth For you, Susan uses personal life experiences as examples of how the Lord has satisfied her needs and how that has promoted a desire to pay it forward.

Lent Day 11- Ruth 2: 3-13 Hidden in plain sight

Join Susan Downie your host as she continues in the book of Ruth. Here she explores the presence of the Lord in all situations even the ordinary ones. You are invited to look at the Lord in the people he has placed around you and discover his kindness, mercy, his attention to detail. 
With real life analogies of being a foreigner in a land not her own Susan compares her experience to what Ruth may have had. A life of obscurity that resulted in restoration of rights for Ruth a widow with no rights in her day.

Lent Day 6- Introducing to the book of Ruth

Join Susan Downie your host as she walks you through her reflections on the first 5 verses of the book of Ruth. Here Susan explains the context the book is written in, and allows us to see the parallels with our own walk of obedience or disobedience to God. 
She reminds us that God has promised blessings to those who obey and follow his lead, as found in Deuteronomy chapter 28. She gives us insight into her personal walk and invites all into a time of inventory into our own hearts.
