Through personal anecdotes—her dyslexia, a surprising Scrabble victory, and a family member’s cancer fight—Susan encourages listeners to recognize unseen battles, ask God for companions to stand with them, and trust that God is with them in the fight.

In this episode Susan Downie reads Mark 11:20–25 and explores how Jesus uses the withered fig tree to teach about faith, answered prayer and the need to forgive. She explains the difference between believing something will happen and believing it is already done, and how prayer must align with God’s will.
Susan shares personal reflections on learning to pray, asks God to teach us what to pray, and closes with a short prayer for clearer, more faithful prayer lives.

This episode is a brief quiet-time reflection on Psalm 33 (verses 1–9), exploring why the psalmist calls us to sing: God’s word is right and true, he is faithful, righteous, just, full of unfailing love, and the powerful Creator whose spirit brought the heavens and earth into being.
The host shares a personal note on recent family bereavement, an interactive journaling habit (circling letters to mark attributes of God), and encourages listeners to use their own Bible notes and be open to how Scripture speaks to them today.
